Employment

Some veterans lose their housing because they experience problems adjusting to civilian life. This change often requires a new job and different coping skills instead of those that sustained them during active duty. In some cases, untreated mental illness or brain injury may make maintaining a job difficult. S.A.L.U.T.E. will work with veterans to help them obtain job skills through educational training, computer training, developing micro-enterprise businesses, and other job training opportunities in-house, as well as through public and private partnerships. The Q Express is representative of one of these projects.
